Dead By April @ Nosturi, Finland 26/5/2009

So yesterday we went to DBA's gig and it was surprisingly good! We found out about them three weeks ago and we've been listening to them non-stop, so it was nice to see that they actually were good live. Jimmie, their lead singer, is really good at screaming (and singing of course), and their guitarist, Pontus, is also talented at singing (though he seemed a bit nervous, n'aww).

The support band, One Morning Left, was.. ehm, how should I say this... HORRIBLE. It was terrible to just stand there and listen to them for half an hour. Nobody (exept a few guys next to us) seemed to like them... thank God.

It was great when Dead by April started playing, it was sooo much better than the crappy warming up band. They started with Trapped, then they played Angels of Clarity, then Falling behind, What Can I Say, Stronger, In My Arms, and last but not least Losing You. The gig was pretty short but they explained that they weren't allowed to play longer. After the gig we got their autographs and a picture with them, which was really cool. They seem like really nice guys, and it was nice to be able to speak Swedish with them! We hope to see them again as soon as possible, right now we're actually thinking about going to 'Ruisrock' (a famous finish rock/metal festival) to see them again.

Here are some basic facts about Dead By April in case you didn't know anything about them:

- The band plays metalcore (well somebody might call their music 'popmetal') and they are from
Gothenburg, Sweden.- They have released one album, called Dead By April, in May 2009.
- The first single is called "Losing You"
- DBA has won "The Best Newcomer 2008" award in Sweden.
